Smoke em if you've got em
Cause nothing's for free
This cash that I made is for me
Bang on the drums
You can sound the alarm
I'll sleep like a babe while you're out in the street
I've earned what I've got now I'm up on the top
You're a pawn that I know how to play
So give it your best shot
Let it rain
Let it drown you in the same
Cut the chord
This world is ours to take
Pull back the curtain
Open the gate
Let it rain
And fight back every day
Rats in a cage starving for days
Fighting for scraps that they give
Days turn to nights under fluorescent lights
At least I'm in here and they're over there
It's easier to fight a fake enemy than climb to the top of the strings
Bred like dogs with small rewards
This is a reckoning
It's time you get what you deserve
Let it rain
Let it drown you in the same
Cut the chord
This world is ours to take
Pull back the curtain
Open the gate
Let it rain
And fight back every day
We are a force to be reckoned with
As we tear off our strings
Those with the power to change the world have taken it for themselves
As they pass the torch, we become the rain
And snuff them out
And snuff them out
Pull back the curtain
Open the gate
We are the rain
And we will drown you out
I love it. Have to agree with still bummed: this packs an emotional punch but rocks hard. I've played this whole album repeatedly over the last week which is unusual for me. Exhilarating, poignant, intelligent, melodic. Robin Ward
This album is AZip's best since Andiamo, maybe even A Passage In Time. And that's a high bar for a band that couldn't put out a bad studio album if they tried. There's hints of every previous album. Even fans who think the band went downhill after Passage should like this one. Mark Hammond
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
Go the Goldy crew. These lads do it up. Their first one EWWWWW was a ball tearer. This one's a bit more polished. Pretty much in the So Cal punk style, with flourishes of metal manifesting at opportune moments. Fast moving wall of sound. Approve 👍 Trevor Ramsay
